Hawkins named an All-Star coachApril 6, 2020
From Herald Staff Reports
The IndyStar Indiana Boys All-Stars were announced on Monday. None of the 13 players chosen are local, but they’ll get to work with a coach who’s had a lot of success in the area.
Nate Hawkins was named an assistant coach of the team. Hawkins is 143-44 in his career coaching at Forest Park and Heritage Hills. Hawkins won three sectional championships and two regional titles as coach of the Rangers. He also delivered the Patriots their first sectional championship since 2003 in the 2019-20 season.
The team is scheduled to play three games in June. They’ll play against the Indiana Junior All-Stars and a home-and-home series with the Kentucky All-Stars.
