Gulls are back at Patoka Lake

PATOKA RESERVOIR — Join the naturalist at the Patoka Lake Nature Center to discover why gulls are seen in the winter at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 12, and 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 16.

Typically, gulls are known to be on warm sunny beaches near the ocean and not in Indiana. Discover what they are doing here. During these programs, participants will have the opportunity to drive to the water to see them up close using binoculars. Participants should dress for the weather and bring binoculars, spotting scopes and cameras.

For more information regarding this program or other interpretive events, call the Patoka Lake Nature Center at 812-685-2447.
