Gogel promoted at sheriff's office

Deputy Clint Gogel of the Dubois County Sheriff's Office has been selected to serve as the newest patrol sergeant. He will continue as the handler for K-9 Chase and supervise other deputies on patrol work in the field.
Gogel has been employed with the sheriff's office for 11 years. He started working as a jail officer for three years and has been a deputy for the last eight years.
Gogel has served the sheriff's office and the community in many forms: Emergency Response Team, sniper, field training officer and K-9 handler, as well a first responder/EMT and fireman for Ireland Volunteer Fire Department.
Gogel’s new duties become effective on Jan. 1, 2021.
