A GoFundMe has been created for the funeral arrangements for Isabelle Meyer, the Jasper Girl Scout killed Monday in an accident at Camp Koch.
The page — see it here — was launched by members of the Tri-County YMCA in Ferdinand on Tuesday afternoon. It had raised $7,487 of its $7,500 goal by 10:45 a.m. today. Isabelle, 11, participated in the organization’s summer camp and after-school programs.
STORY: Jasper Girl Scout killed in Camp Koch accident
“She definitely touched a lot of lives here at The Y with the camp counselors and summer camp staff,” said Mike Steffe, executive director of the YMCA. “[I] just remember seeing her around The Y during holiday camps, and she was always a fun-loving, energetic little girl.”
Isabelle died Monday after a large tree uprooted and fell on her and three others at the Girl Scout camp near Cannelton.
