Tim Lechner of Jasper sands down the rim of the basketball hoop in his driveway before spraying on a fresh coat of paint on Thursday. Lechner built and installed the hoop in 1984 and was able to find some of the materials at the scrapyard. While Lechner and his kids used to shoot hoops when it was first installed, now, it is mainly used by his grandchildren when the come to visit.
