Perry Uebelhor of Jasper, left, prepares to have his blood drawn for donation by Red Cross Phlebotomist Paul Bastin of Mt. Vernon during a blood drive at the Jasper Public Library on Wednesday. Uebelhor said that he had an experience with a relative who was in need of blood before passing away. For the past ten years, he has donated blood and sees it as a way of giving back.
