Girls golf regional tees off

MONTGOMERY — Jasper and Southridge, along with an individual from Heritage Hills, tee off Saturday morning for the girls golf regional at Country Oaks Golf Course.
Grace Mangan of Heritage Hills, who qualified for regional with her showing in last week’s sectional, leads off at 8:40 a.m.
Southridge’s first golfer tees off at 8:50 a.m., followed at 10-minute intervals by each of the other four Raider golfers.
Jasper’s first golfer tees off at 9:40 a.m., and like Southridge, will continue at 10-minute intervals.
Other teams competing in the regional are Bedford North Lawrence, Bloomington North, Bloomington South, Castle, Evansville Memorial, Evansville North, Floyd Central, Gibson Southern, Linton-Stockton, Martinsville, New Albany, Providence, Seymour, South Knox, Springs Valley and Vincennes Rivet.
There are 18 individual golfers representing their school in which the team did not qualify.
The top regional finishers advance to the state finals scheduled for Oct. 4-5 at Prairie View Golf Club in Carmel.
