Girl Scouts raise money for endowment

Rachel Hollinden, representing Girl Scout Troop 357, presents a donation from all Dubois County Girl Scouts to Nona Baker of the Dubois County Endowment Foundation. Girl Scout Cadette Troop 357 hosted a skate party on March 9 and raised $305 for Dubois County Girl Scout Endowment held by the foundation.

The skate party was open to Girl Scouts from both the North and South Dubois County Girl Scout Service Units. “It was our wish for every Girl Scout who attended the skate party to have a way to give back to the Girl Scout Endowment for future Girl Scouts,” Hollinden said. The Troop 357 Cadettes have received endowment grants from the Dubois County for a Bronze Award Project; a trip to Savannah, Georgia, the birthplace of Juliet Gordon Low, founder of Girl Scouts; and two Silver Award Projects.
