Jasper’s Annie Getzin is halfway through the final swings of her high school career.
The Wildcat senior competed individually Friday morning in the first round of the state finals at The Legends Golf Club in Franklin. Getzin fired an 80, pairing a 39 on the front nine with a 41 on the back side; she’s tied for 34th place individually in the field of 100 golfers.
Valparaiso’s Harley Dubsky leads individually after sizzling with a 68 Friday. In the team standings, Carmel (304) leads comfortably over the rest of the field, as Penn (319) sits in second.
All 15 teams and 100 individuals will return for the final 18 holes of the finals today; the first group was set to tee off at 8:30 a.m.
