Garden Gate Jazz Festival

Sarah Specht, 8, and her sister, Dorothy, 6, both of Cincinnati, Ohio, danced as the Future of Jazz All-Star Big Band directed by Wade Baker of Bedford performed a tune Saturday at the Garden Gate Jazz, Art, Wine & Craft Beer Festival in Huntingburg. The sisters' 15-year-old brother Russell played alto saxophone in the band.
Chrisy Cummins, a Birdseye native who now lives in Mariah Hill, poured a glass of wine for Lyn Blume of Huntingburg on Saturday at the Garden Gate Festival in Huntingburg. Blume said she has attended the event each year since 2012.
JJackie White of the Gypsy Moon Nosh Wagon food truck handed an order to Jennifer Abell of Huntingburg on Saturday at the Garden Gate Festival in Huntingburg. "We didn't realize we liked jazz until we starting coming," said Abell who attended the event with her family.
Myles Twitty of Cincinnati, Ohio, 17, played trumpet in the Future of Jazz All-Star Big Band directed by Wade Baker of Bedford on Saturday at the Garden Gate Festival in Huntingburg.
Kiana McCormick of Huntingburg, 4, cracked a smile as Carolyn Hilsmeyer of Jasper held a mirror for McCormick to view her newly painted face Saturday at the Garden Gate Festival in Huntingburg.
