Celestine Elementary fourth-grader Aubre Blackgrave played the violin during the school’s spring recital at Dubois Middle School on Tuesday. Aubre has been playing the instrument for about two years. In addition to the third and fourth grade classes singing songs, six students performed solos on the recorder, violin and piano. “Planning for a night like this can be hectic but the end result is a good feeling,” said teacher Melissa Fox who has helped the students prepare for the spring-themed show since January. “They like to show their friends and families what they’ve learned.” Sarah Ann Jump/The Herald
