Friends of the Ferdinand Library Book Sale

The Friends of the Ferdinand Library will hold their Second Saturday Basement Book Sale on Saturday, March 13, from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.  Masks will be required and social distancing enforced. Hand sanitizer will be available.  The sale can be entered from either the library’s main floor or through the north side doors off the Community Center parking lot.

A special drawing will be held for Friend’s $5 Gift Certificates for an upcoming sale. There is a table of “Special” books which has volumes that are first editions, author-signed, or otherwise extraordinary books. Three sets of Childcraft books from 1963, 1972, and 1974 are available for $10 per set. All hardback books are $1; paperbacks are $.50; magazines are $.25, DVDs and CDs are $1; and puzzles, games, children’s books and “Special” books are variously priced.

The Friends appreciate all of the donations of gently-used books, DVDs, CDs, games and puzzles. Donations can be left in the bin near the entrance to the library basement.  Recently, all proceeds from the sales were used by the Ferdinand Library for the purchase of children’s diversity books, VOX books, and Pre-K books.

Friends membership pamphlets are available at the sale and at the library’s main desk.  Stay in touch with the Friends through the Friends of the Ferdinand Library Facebook page.
