Friends announce pop-up book sale

FERDINAND — The Friends of the Ferdinand Library are having a pop-up sale from 4 to 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 20.

The Friends hope to accomplish two objectives — having a book sale on a weeknight for those who can’t come on Saturdays and  opening up the sale to include a multitude of books which haven’t been displayed at the Saturday sales because of a lack of space.

These books include biographies, history, self-help, spiritual, religion, cookbooks, gardening, finance, child-rearing, home décor, wedding planning and other nonfiction books. There also will be fiction hardback and paperback books for sale.

The Friends have had a large donation of books by favorite authors such as James Patterson, Patricia Cornwell, Clive Cussler and Sandra Brown.

Hardback books are $1; paperbacks $.50; DVDs, puzzles, and children’s books are variously priced. Enter the sale through the main floor of the library or through the north side doors off the Community Center parking lot.

Donations of gently used books and puzzles are always welcomed and appreciated.
