French Lick Resort Dye Course lands '15 Senior PGA

FRENCH LICK — French Lick Resort in southern Indiana will host the 2015 Senior PGA Championship on its Pete Dye Course.

The PGA announced Tuesday that course that opened in 2009 will be the site of “the most historic and prestigious event” on the senior tour on May 21-24, 2015.

An international 156-player field is expected to compete on the par-72, 7,400-yard course designed by the legendary Indiana golf architect.

It will be the fourth major championship hosted by the resort, following the 1924 PGA Championship, played on the Donald Ross Course and won by Walter Hagen. French Lick also hosted the 1959 and ”˜60 LPGA Championships.
