Free fishing event returnsAugust 22, 2018
The 17th annual Wheelin’ in the Fish will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Sept. 15, at the Osborn Boat Ramp. The public is invited.
The free fishing event promotes the accessible features of the lake for participants with special needs and their families. They are allowed to fish for free, take free boat rides and eat a free lunch. Everything they need will be provided, from fishing poles to tackle and refreshments.
Anyone working for a nursing home, group home or in-home health service or who has family members in one of these facilities also is invited.
Attendees are asked to bring lawn chairs, sunscreen and insect repellent. Certificates and door prizes will be awarded.
Osborn Boat Ramp is located off State Road 145 two miles north of State Road 164. Signs will be posted.
