Frank E. Reckelhoff, 95, Jasper
July 22, 2020Frank E. Reckelhoff, 95, of Jasper, passed away at 7:30 a.m. on Tuesday, July 21, 2020, at home.

Frank was born in Celestine on August 27, 1924, to Herman and Mathilda (Schnell) Reckelhoff. He married Esther F. Gehlhausen on July 1, 1950, in St. Ferdinand Catholic Church in Ferdinand, Indiana. She preceded him in death on May 31, 2016.
He worked at the Coca-Cola Bottling Company in Jasper for over 40 years.
He was a member of Holy Family Catholic Church and the Schnellville Conservation Club.
Frank enjoyed playing cards, polka dancing, gardening, visiting the Monte Cassino Shrine, and spending time with his family and friends, and he especially enjoyed following his grandchildren’s events.
Surviving are two daughters, Janet (Stan) Welp and Diann (Lenny) Verkamp, both of Schnellville; two sons, David (Susan) Reckelhoff, St. Anthony, and Gerald Reckelhoff and fiancé, Betty, St. Louis, Missouri; 11 grandchildren; three stepgrandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; one step-great-granddaughter; and one sister, Sally Davis of Georgia.
Preceding him in death besides his wife are one daughter-in-law, Kathleen Reckelhoff; one stepgrandson, Martin Lampe Jr.; five sisters, Emma Hovelkamp, Louise Loesche, Veronica Koch, Adeline Seger and Lorena Burke;and two brothers, Oscar and Roman Reckelhoff.
Funeral services for Frank E. Reckelhoff will be held at a later date.
Memorial contributions may be made to Holy Family Catholic Church or to a favorite charity.
