Four Wildcats named to all-conference squad

On Sunday, the Big Eight conference announced their All-Conference volleyball selections and four Jasper players received recognition.

Senior Natalie Wigand and juniors Riley Merder, Meredith Hilgefort and Reagan Egbert were the Wildcat players that were selected to the Big Eight all-conference roster.

Wigand was the Cats primary setter and led the way with 855 assists. She was also third on the squad with 269 digs.

Merder was second on the team with 319 kills (3.0 kills per set), led the way in attack percentage with .448 and also led the way with 80 total blocks.

Hilgefort led Jasper with 65 aces (0.6 aces per set) and was second with 341 digs. She was also third on the squad with 278 kills.

Egbert led all Jasper players with 341 kills (3.2 per set) while adding 41 aces and 172 digs.

Other All-Conference selections were Clara Hawley (Mount Vernon), Addie Robinson (Mount Vernon), Brooke Jackson (Mount Vernon), Elizabeth Steinhart (Mount Vernon), Alison Hein (Vincennes Lincoln), Callie Foster (Vincennes Lincoln), Faith Wittman (Boonville) and Kennedy Clark (Princeton).
