Four awarded PTO scholarshipsJuly 24, 2019
JASPER — The Jasper High School PTO awarded three $500 scholarships to selected members of the 2019 graduation class. The awards program was held May 17.
Scholarship recipients were chosen based on a rubric that scored their involvement in school activities, honors they had received, community involvement as well as accomplishments and contributions made to the school during their years as a student. Their GPAs also were a consideration.
Kyle Hedinger will major in biochemistry at Hanover College. He is the son of Paul and Annette Hedinger of Jasper.
Nathan Schmitt will be attending Purdue University. He is the son of Myron and Shelly Schmitt.
Olivia Smith will attend Ball State University to major in visual communication and design. She is the daughter of Jodi Smith and Aaron Smith.
Laurel Hubster will major in occupational therapy at Indiana University. She is the daughter of David and Stacy Hubster.
