Formal Fit

To get ready for 16th annual Ferdinand Prom & Bridal Expo, owners of Beth Carter Exquisite Bridal & Formal Wear — Beth Carter and her husband, Earl — fitted 27 high school students for dresses and tuxedos to model Sunday at the Ferdinand Community Center. Earl, center, checked the fit of the tuxedos Wednesday evening on Southridge High School seniors Mitchell Carter, left, and Kortland Hartke. “Back when I went to prom, all the guys wore suits and the girls wore these big ball gowns,” Earl said.
Earl Carter, left, tucked a handkerchief into the tuxedo of Southridge senior Kortland Hartke Wednesday evening in Huntingburg. "I feel so dapper," Hartke said of the velvet tuxedo.
