FORT BRANCH -- Gibson Southern proved to be ungracious hosts Friday night.
The Class 3A No. 3 ranked Titans scored early and often as they raced out to 28 first-quarter points in a 56-7 rout of Forest Park.
Gibson Southern added 21 more points in the second stanza before the Rangers broke through before the end of the first half.
Cooper Uebelhor found Jared Schipp for a 36-yard touchdown strike with 44 ticks left in the opening half to end the shutout.
The Forest Park defense was bruised and battered to the tune of 472 yards from scrimmage for the Titans, while the Ranger offense could only muster 102 yards/
Uebelhor finished with 39 yards through the air on two completions, while Austin Hoppenjans rushed for 18 yards.
Gibson Southern’s heavily recruited sophomore quarterback Brady Allen completed 13 of 14 passes for 318 yards through the air with six scores.
Forest Park plays host to Perry Central next Friday night.
