Forest Park 58, North Posey 18: The senior duo of Faith Zazzetti and Macie Zink led the Rangers (17-7, 5-3) with 20 points and 17 points, respectively. This was Forest Park’s third straight win, and also got its third win in a row against a Pocket Athletic Conference rival.
The No. 15-ranked Rangers have now won eight of nine, and now they will wait as they have a bye into the sectional semifinal on Feb. 7 on their home floor. The Rangers could play North Posey again, or could play Southridge, depending on who wins Tuesday's game. The Rangers bested the Raiders, 58-38, on Dec. 3.
Vincennes Rivet 44, Northeast Dubois 24: The Jeeps (6-17, 3-5) finish the regular season losing 10 of their final 12 games, but still won one more game than they did in the regular season last year. Freshman Reagan Knies was the only player for Northeast Dubois to reach double digits, scoring 10 points. The Jeeps also dropped their final four games in Blue Chip Conference play.
Northeast Dubois has a chance to get retribution on Feb. 7 when it meets Springs Valley in its first sectional game. The Jeeps lost, 34-32, last year to the Blackhawks in sectional play.
