Local teams are returning to the floor for the first time this year, and the Dubois County Herald has you covered on who did what in their first game of 2020.
Prep girls basketball
Forest Park 53, Crawford County 51: The Rangers (10-6) held on Friday night with a road win against the Wolfpack. They scored 17 points in the final quarter of play. Senior Macie Zink led Forest Park with 20 points, including nine in the fourth. Freshman Lydia Betz added 10. The Rangers will try to build off of this win Tuesday night at Northeast Dubois.
Evansville Central 38, Southridge 25: Junior Kennedy Nalley scored eight points, while freshman Marie Tempel added seven. However, it was not enough for the Raiders (7-7), who on Tuesday will welcome Washington.
Prep boys basketball
Forest Park 63, Paoli 62: The Rangers (8-1) snapped Paoli's eight-game win streak with a road win Friday night. Junior Simon Jacob paced the team with 24 points. Sophomore Drew Howard scored 16, while senior Isaac Uebelhor had 13. Forest Park is back at it Saturday at Springs Valley.
