Forest Park BPA competes virtually at national conference

FERDINAND — Forest Park High School Business Professionals of America recently competed in the virtual National Leadership Conference. In order to advance to this level, the students had to place at the Regional Leadership Conference in December. This allowed them to advance to the State Leadership Conference in February, where they had to place in order to participate in the National Leadership Conference. There were more than 6,000 attendees this year at the virtual National Leadership conference.

Avery Knight placed 10th in PC Servicing and Troubleshooting and participated in Computer Network Technology. He became certified in Computer Maintenance and Repair AND Computer Technology.

Brooklyn Knight placed third in PC Servicing and Troubleshooting and participated in Computer Network Technology. She also became certified in Computer Maintenance and Repair and Computer Technology.

Amy Wahl participated in Advanced Interview Skill.

Ethan Hall participated in Integrated Office Applications. He also passed his Microsoft Office Specialist Excel exam.

This was the second year for the Forest Park BPA club. It had been on hiatus for more than 25 years. Angie Hochgesang is the advisor.
