HUNTINGBURG — A deputy issued a permit for a driver to legally possess a deer struck by a pickup truck Monday morning east of Huntingburg.

Logan F. Corbett, 26, Birdseye, was westbound on State Road 64 in a 2008 Ford Ranger when the 5:15 a.m. accident occurred 500 feet west of County Road 50E, according to the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department.
