JASPER — A 37-year-old Jasper man faces three felony counts and a misdemeanor charge after allegedly grabbing a woman by the neck and shoving her to the ground.
Police say Travis W. Stine was in the process of moving out of a home in the 400 block of West Sixth Street and went to the home about 10 a.m. Thursday. That’s when he and the victim began arguing.
Stine fled before police arrived but was later found. An ambulance was called, but the victim refused treatment.
Stine was booked into the Dubois County Security Center about 8 p.m. Thursday on felony charges of strangulation, battery resulting in serious bodily injury and intimidation and a misdemeanor count of domestic battery.
JASPER — A 28-year-old Ferdinand man was arrested early this morning on suspicion of drunken driving.
Craig N. Freeman of 1499 E. 1100S was pulled over about 1 a.m. near Newton and Second streets for spinning his tires. Authorities say Freeman smelled of alcohol, had bloodshot eyes and admitted he had been drinking. His blood-alcohol level was .25, more than three times the legal limit.
Freeman was booked into the Dubois County Security Center at 3 a.m.
