These summaries of the Dubois County Health Department’s inspection reports are made public after the restaurants and food stores have had 10 days to respond. Highway 64, Birdseye, Jasper, two critical violations: observed prolonged dirt, food, grease and debris in overall kitchen area and equipment, such as grill, stove, fryers, counter shelves and fridges. One noncritical violation: ice machine bin observed to have some buildup.

Tienda Mora Incorporated, 421 1/2 E. Fourth St., Huntingburg, three critical violations: several items without dates (pastries, beef steaks); deli area has food and dirt debris in multiple area sinks and cutting boards, and deli case has several opened items of employee food being stored by food for sale; double-door freezer has spoiled smell. One noncritical violation: meat slicer has old food buildup.

Subway #10492 (Ferdinand), 75 Industrial Park Suite A, Ferdinand, two critical violations: hand-washing sinks contained food items, sanitizer solution registering under 100 PPM. One noncritical violation: accumulation of dirt and food debris observed throughout establishment on nonfood contact surfaces.
Subway #2776-Sharma Inc. (26th Street), 2506 Newton St., Jasper, two noncritical violations: water standing on bottom of cooler on southeast corner contributing to water contamination; observed excessive buildup on drink nozzles in customer area.
Taco Bell #3001034 (Jasper), 3592 Newton St., Jasper, two critical violations: food preparation lines observed to have prolonged food and dirt buildup; kitchen area floors have severe food, dirt and debris buildup as well as the refrigeration units on the prep line. Three noncritical violations: both soda machines have severe buildup around nozzles; lobby soda machine observed to be leaking; several tiles missing from wall near dish sink, also some tiles starting break apart around floor drain in front of fryers.
