These summaries of the Dubois County Health Department’s inspection reports are made public after the restaurants and food stores have had 10 days to respond. Brick Oven Pizza/Chester Chicken, 1281 Third Ave., Jasper, one noncritical violation: three floor fans have built-up dust. Pizza oven chains starting to become built up.
Clifford Biers Home, 140 E. 37th St., Jasper, one noncritical violation: hot water only reaching 93 degrees F.
Columbian Home Association (Knights of Columbus), 201 E. 30th St., Jasper, one noncritical violation: raw meat being thawed improperly.
Happy Hour Sports Bar and Grill, 6679 E. State Road 164, Celestine, two critical violations: raw chicken observed to be uncovered in walk-in cooler, observed food employee change gloves multiple times without washing hands prior.
J.R.’s Bar (Taylor Michaels Inc.), 23 S. Clay St., Jasper, one critical violation: raw meat product observed to be stored above ready-to-eat product in fridge, also in walk-in cooler stored on kegs and bottles. One noncritical violation: no dedicated hand sink in facility. Monitor prep fridge temp measured at 52 degrees F.
McDonald’s #575810 (Ferdinand), 25 Industrial Park Road, Ferdinand, one critical violation: hand wash sink near fryers contained food debris. Three noncritical violations: water in hand wash sink on SSW wall reaching 82 degrees F., drink dispensing nozzles contained built-up debris, fans in milk reach-in behind front counter contained dust buildup, drink and coffee stations observed to have heavy food/drink buildup/mold.
Oasis Bar and Grill, 935 Main St., Ferdinand, one critical violation: observed missing dates on items in reach-in cooler.
Ohana Hawaiian Grill, 3117 Newton St., Jasper, no violations, OK to operate.
Pizza Hut #316302, Jasper, 520 S. U.S. 231, Jasper, one noncritical violation: green metro shelves throughout facility observed to have built-up food, dirt and grease (ex. proofing racks, clean dish racks).
Ron’s Place, 504 N. Van Buren St., Huntingburg, one noncritical violation: section of ceiling panel missing by pizza oven exhaust.
Schnitz Brewery & Pub, 2031 Newton St., Suite A, Jasper, one noncritical violation: missing ceiling panel above pizza oven.

Sunset Citgo, 1281 Third Ave., Jasper, two noncritical violations: women’s bathroom not equipped with covered receptacle, heavy dust accumulation on Monster drink racks.
Taco Bell #3001034 (Jasper), 3592 Newton St., Jasper, two critical violations: kitchen area and production area has built-up food and debris, food production area where product is made and held has buildup.
The Corner Bar & Grill (Garrs LLC), 4492 N. Fourth St., Dubois, no violations.

Wendy’s #384, 3565 Newton St., Jasper, four critical violations: observed food with expired used-by date not being disposed of in walk-in, food and food-contact items observed being stored directly on the floor, sanitizing solution observed to be foggy (contained food debris and weak), food and nonfood contact surfaces observed to be heavily soiled with food debris and grease throughout establishment. Two noncritical violations: hood of microwave observed to be heavily soiled with food debris, observed broken tiles near fryer allowing accumulation of water, grease and food.

Hometown IGA #460, 312 E. 12th St., Huntingburg, three noncritical violations: mold seen on shelf holding gallons of milk, dirty storage racks to the left and right in walk-in cooler, hole in ceiling tile in meat prep area.
Huck’s #339, 601 N. Main St., Huntingburg, three noncritical violations: ceiling tile above bag in box station missing; cart used for pizza making observed to have heavy buildup; both walk-in coolers, prep table and single-door fridge have food buildup.
