Foley commits to IU Baseball

Connor Foley spent part of his Labor Day Monday by tweeting out his commitment to continue his baseball career at Indiana University. The Jasper senior had also drawn interest from IU's football program. However, is the Wildcats' big bopper, and his big bat helped Jasper to the Class 4A State Championship as a junior - the first state championship for the program since 2006. 

The Southern Indiana Athletic Conference named him First-Team All-Conference as an outfielder for his junior season, and the Indiana High School Baseball Coaches Association named the three-sport athlete an All-State selection in Class 4A.


A 4 p.m. scramble is being held Saturday at Sultan's Run Golf Club to benefit patients at Riley's Children's Hospital. The scramble is two people, nine holes. It's $35 per person, $70 per team. The field is limited to the first 18 teams. Individual cart prizes will be awarded for first, second and third place teams, plus two prizes for C.T.P. and L.P., plus a Closest to the Line prize.
