The Dubois County Sheriff’s Department is announcing the appointment of its newest sergeant: Sgt. C. Patrick Fleming.
Fleming was appointed to the rank after a just-completed testing and interviewing process.
Fleming is a 1987 graduate of Jasper High School and attended Vincennes University Jasper Campus and Indiana State University. He has been employee of the Dubois County Sheriff’s Department in excess of 24 years.
The new sergeant worked as a jail officer for 4 1/2 years and just celebrated the completion of his 20th year as a deputy.
During his time as a deputy, according to the sheriff’s department, Fleming has served the department as an Emergency Response Team operator, Emergency Response Team leader and a department field training officer and Glock and Colt Armorer.
He has been married to his wife, Margaret (Lange), for 24 years and they have two daughters, Catie and Camille.
Fleming will be a patrol supervisor. The sheriff’s department says he is looking forward to continuing to serve everyone in Dubois County.
