Firefighters wash off turkey entrails from highwayJune 4, 2020

JASPER — Firefighters provided a wash-off assist when turkey entrails were spilled during the noon hour Tuesday at U.S. 231 and State Road 162.
The Jasper Police Department and a Dubois County Sheriff’s Office deputy responded to the intersection at 12:06 p.m.
The sheriff’s office said a car pulled out in front of a semi hauling the waste products from Farbest Foods.
To avoid a collision, a deputy said, the semi driver braked. His load shifted, spilling matter onto the highway.
Two Jasper Volunteer Fire Department trucks quickly responded to help clear the highway. Farbest personnel arrived to finish the cleanup, according to Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang.
