Firefighters respond to truck’s overheated brakes

HUNTINGBURG — Overheated, smoking brakes on a farm truck resulted in a short run Saturday night by the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department.

Assistant Chief Glen Kissling said the truck was parked in the 300 block of North Geiger Street and firefighters cooled the hot brakes and wheel with some water. There was no fire.

Two trucks and 12 firefighters were on the scene 20 minutes.
