Firefighters respond to Dubois-area brush fire

DUBOIS — Units of the Dubois Volunteer Fire Department responded Tuesday afternoon to a brush fire north of the Dubois Crossroads.
The 2:33 p.m. callout sent firefighters to the 4900 block of State Road 56 where Christian Williams’ trash fire got away from him, according to Fire Chief Steve Kalb.
A quarter-acre area of dead grass and vegetation burned.
Four trucks and 15 firefighters were on the scene 30 minutes.
