Firefighters respond to Breakaway Lanes

From Local Sources

HUNTINGBURG — Units of the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to a Monday afternoon alarm activation at Breakaway Lanes and Recreation Center.

There was no fire associated with 5:09 p.m. callout to the 104 E. 13th St. bowling alley, according to Fire Chief Scott Patberg. Instead, he added, the incident was chalked up to an alarm glitch that the monitoring company was attempting to track down.

Four trucks and 14 firefighters were on the scene a total of 20 minutes as members of the department checked the building with a thermal imaging camera.
