Firefighters respond to behavioral health facility

HUNTINGBURG — Units of the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to an alarm activation early Tuesday at Crossroads Behavioral Health, 1900 Medical Arts Drive.

Fire Chief Scott Patberg said the cause of the 2:57 a.m. callout was traced to a detector problem in an elevator room. Facility maintenance staff responded to rectify the issue.

Five trucks and 12 firefighters were on the scene 20 minutes.
