HUNTINGBURG — Members of the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to a pair of runs Tuesday night, one at an apartment unit and the other at a corporate office.
The first call, at 9:22 p.m., involved a carbon monoxide alarm activation at a Friendship Village apartment at 1111 Friendship Village.
The department found an issue with a stove that was turned over to maintenance staff after fans were deployed to ventilate the unit.
Two trucks and six firefighters were on the scene 30 minutes.
Then, at 11:20 p.m., an alarm activated at the OFS Brands corporate office at 1204 E. Sixth St.
Fire Chief Scott Patberg said maintenance staff was drilling a hole for an improvement and dust triggered a detector.
Four trucks and 12 firefighters were on the scene 10 minutes.
