Firefighters find faulty Home Depot alarm

From Local Sources

JASPER — The Jasper Volunteer Fire Department responded to an alarm activation late Monday afternoon at Home Depot, 4250 Newton St.

There was no fire associated with the 5:30 p.m. callout, according to Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang. Instead, he added, the page was another in a series of recent false alarms resulting in technicians trying to track down a problem.

One truck and 18 firefighters were on the scene for about 15 minutes.
