Firefighters check out OFS plant alarm

HUNTINGBURG — The Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department briefly responded to an alarm activation early Wednesday afternoon at OFS Brands’ Plant No. 6, 4491 S. 400W.

The first units on the scene were able to determine there was no active fire associated with the 12:07 p.m. alarm, according to Assistant Chief Glen Kissling.

Additional units were told they could stand down and the department handed the investigation into what triggered the alarm over to maintenance staff.

One truck and six firefighters were on the scene 10 minutes.
