JASPER — Units of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department responded Monday to a smoke alarm activation at The Timbers of Jasper, 2905 Howard Drive.
There was no fire associated with the 10:30 a.m. callout, according to Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang. Instead, he said, a worker servicing the stove hood system in the kitchen accidentally triggered the alarm.
Four trucks and 25 firefighters were on the scene 10 minutes.
