FERDINAND — Units of the Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department made a short run toward Forest Park Junior-Senior High School Tuesday morning.
Fire Chief John Hoppenjans said cleaning personnel at the 1440 Michigan St. location stirred enough dust to trigger a sensitive smoke detector.
Two trucks and eight firefighters were on the scene 10 minutes.
The Ferdinand Police Department assisted.
