FERDINAND — Units of the Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department responded to a general fire alarm activation late Sunday night at the Comfort Inn, 123 Scenic Hills Court.
There was no fire associated with the 11:50 p.m. callout, according to Fire Chief John Hoppenjans. Instead, he said, firefighters believed a smoke detector in a third floor room was at fault.
The fire department successfully reset the system after ensuring there was no problem.
Three trucks and seven firefighters were on the scene 15 minutes.
