From Local Sources
JASPER — An alarm activation this morning sent the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department to Northwood Retirement Community, 400 W. Pleasant View Drive.
Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang said there was no fire associated with the 7:01 a.m. callout. Instead, he added, the facility was conducting a drill and, even though the alarm company had been notified, a notification about the activation was still passed through to dispatch.
Three trucks and 24 firefighters responded.
