Firefighters answer Villas’ alarm
June 12, 2020From Local Sources
JASPER — Units of the Jasper Volunteer Fire Department responded to an alarm activation Thursday evening at The Villas at St. Charles, 3187 Villa Way.
There was no fire associated with the 7:28 p.m. callout on the city’s north side, according to Fire Chief Kenny Hochgesang. Instead, he added, the run was chalked up to a faulty detector after no issues were discovered.
The scene was turned over to maintenance staff to either repair or replace the detector, according to Hochgesang.
Three trucks and 21 firefighters were on the scene 10 minutes.
