Firefighters answer sprinkler-flow alarm

From Local Sources

HUNTINGBURG — Units of the Huntingburg Volunteer Fire Department responded to a sprinkler-flow alarm Friday morning at a manufacturing plant on the city’s east side.

Department Fire Investigator John C. Smith said there was no fire associated with the 7:54 a.m. callout to Dubois Wood Products Plant No. 3, 611 E. Eighth St. Instead, he added, the alarm activation was chalked up to a malfunction.

Five trucks and 12 firefighters were on the scene 10 minutes.
