Fifth grader wins spelling bee

HOLLAND — The Holland Elementary School held its annual school spelling bee on Tuesday, Dec. 17.

The winner was Molly Keusch, a student in the fifth grade. She is the daughter of Chris and Sally Hackmann and Jeff Keusch. Her homeroom teacher is Lindsey Sickbert.

Runner-up was Kali Chambers, a fifth-grade student and the daughter of Adam and Amy Chambers. Her homeroom teacher is Lindsey Sickbert.

Other participants were Raegen Langdon, Maverick Wright, Damian Arnold and Jack Keusch.

The ronouncer was Kelly Murphy and judges were Emma Hurst and Lindsey Sickbert. 

Molly will participate in the Scripps National Spelling Bee online test and may advance to the Evansville Area Regional Spelling Bee.
