Ferdinand woman accused of battery

FERDINAND — Police took a woman into custody after being called Friday afternoon to a reported battery.

The Ferdinand Police Department answered the 4:25 p.m. call in the Leaf Drive area on Ferdinand’s northwest side, making contact with Anita A. Woebkenberg, 51, 1512 E. Mariah Hill Road, Ferdinand, and another female who had been involved in the physical altercation.

After investigating, police took Woebkenberg into custody for allegedly being the aggressor.

Authorities booked Woebkenberg into the Dubois County Security Center at 3:17 p.m. on preliminary misdemeanor counts of battery and battery by bodily waste.
