Ferdinand police arrest man accused of child molesting

FERDINAND — The Ferdinand Police Department arrested a man Thursday and accused him of felony offenses that included child molesting.

Rudy W. Riley, 50, 204 W. Sixth St., was taken into custody at about 2 p.m. after a complaint made to the Division of Family and Child Services, according to police.

Authorities booked Riley into the Dubois County Security Center on preliminary counts of Level 1 felony child molestation, Level 4 felony sexual misconduct with a minor and Level 6 felony child seduction and disemination of matter harmful to a minor.

Ferdinand police said the incident is still under investigation.
