Ferdinand man accused of domestic battery

FERDINAND — Police called to the report of a physical domestic altercation Tuesday afternoon took a man into custody.
The Ferdinand Police Department was called to the altercation at 2:20 p.m. and encountered an adult male with visible injury.
After an investigation, police arrested another man at the scene, Adam P. Mehling, 30, 512 E. 23rd St., Ferdinand.
Authorities booked Mehling into the Dubois County Security Center at 2:29 p.m. on a preliminary misdemeanor count of domestic battery.
The Dubois County Sheriff’s Office assisted.
