FERDINAND — Units of the Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department responded to an alarm activation Wednesday afternoon at Jasper Seating, 435 Virginia St.
There was no fire associated with the 4:16 p.m. callout, according to Fire Chief John Hoppenjans. Instead, he added, firefighters and plant maintenance personnel located a faulty flow switch.
Maintenance staff fixed the issue and successfully reset the alarm system.
Three trucks and 18 firefighters were on the scene 15 minutes.
The Ferdinand Police Department assisted.
