Ferdinand firefighters called to trailer court

FERDINAND — Ferdinand Volunteer Fire Department members responded to a mobile home park in the 600 block of West Ninth Street at 12:05 a.m. Wednesday.

Fire Chief John Hoppenjans said a smoke detector was sounding at a residence but no smoke was visible. The department used a thermal camera and a gas detector inside the trailer but found no problems.

Four trucks and 12 firefighters were on the scene 20 minutes.

The Ferdinand Police Department assisted.
