FERDINAND — A Cannelton woman’s vehicle was considered a total loss in a car-versus-truck collision Sunday afternoon on the overpass on State Road 162 above Interstate 64.
Kristina Herzog of Cannelton was traveling northbound on State Road 162 in a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze and did not see the vehicle in front of her slowing to stop for traffic. The vehicle in front of Herzog was a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 pickup truck driven by Norma Held of Tell City.
The Herzog Cruze rear-ended the Held Silverado. Emergency medical services were called to the scene to check on Herzog and a passenger in Held’s vehicle but both refused treatment on the scene.
The Herzog Cruze was considered a total loss and the Held Silverado sustained damage to the rear bumper.
The Ferdinand Fire Department and Memorial EMS assisted on the scene.
